Infant Daycare

(6 weeks to 15 months)

Infants 6 weeks to 15 months

Our infant rooms are centered around individualized attention and nurturing through low staff to infant ratios.

Your infants sleeping and eating patterns will be observed to honor your family’s routine and our knowledgeable teachers are in daily communication to ensure your infant's needs and development are met. As your child grows and their schedule changes, we work together to ensure that the consistency between home and school remains strong.

While at the center, our teachers will do more than meet your infant’s needs, they are also educated to enrich their learning and development through various activities. The daily planned curriculum includes plans for each child based upon their individual growth. Our child centered age-appropriate activities cover areas of learning aimed at developing social emotional, language, sensory, large motor, and fine motor skills.

Exploration: Tummy time, supported sitting, reaching & grasping, and supportive walking are encouraged.
Daily Reading: Age-appropriate books to support listening, language, and a love of reading.
Art Activities: Finger painting, music, and pretend play to spark creativity.
Sensory Play: Natural and everyday objects to encourage exploration through sight, touch, smell and taste to entice curiosity.
Outdoor Play: Time outside at our on-site playground to explore nature and inspire motor and physical development.

As our infants grow into toddlers, then preschoolers, we grow with them. Our days are guided by them, their interests, health, and need for attachment. It is a really special privilege to be able to care for your infant, feel the excitement of them achieving their milestones and sharing that journey with you.

No family member has exactly the same routines, preferences and interests. Some family members have specific health requirements and abilities. Some families are diverse; built from different cultures, ethnicities, beliefs, and make up. Our center family is just like that.

When your infant joins, you can be assured that their personal routine will be supported. When you share with us your infant’s routine, care, health and dietary requirements, we will follow them, using your child as the guide.

All of us in Millie’s House Leadership Team are parents. All of us have had our children in childcare from infants and all of us know the experience of parents who place their children in the care of others and that is why our commitment to ensuring your infant is safe, loved, and given the nurturing they need from our team is unwavering.

The teachers we have invited to work with your infant have been chosen because they have a high level of commitment to exceptional childcare. These teachers have an affinity with very young children. Their reward for their hard work is developing a close bond with each child and being part of that very special time in a child’s life.

Our infants and teachers are fortunate to work with high ratios in a high quality learning environment with wonderful indoor/outdoor flow. Our infant rooms are spacious and with a ratio of 1:4, we are able to give our infants and emerging toddlers the individual attention they need.
