I have been involved in early childhood education since 1983, when I first applied for a part time position in a childcare centre. I felt privileged then (and still do now) to be able to work with young children. Their development, learning and behaviour fascinates me and to this day I have found teaching has been the most rewarding career to work in. Back in 1983, any form of training was at a certificate level, which took three years to complete. By 1987 I had completed the certificate and in 2002, I went on to complete an early childhood teaching degree.

Over the years, I have developed my knowledge and experience working in early childhood education. During this time, I have undertaken roles as Centre Manager and business partner. I’ve also led and advised centres and been the owner operator of newly established centres. My knowledge and experience has grown through working with people who have been proficient teachers, amazing role models and who share the same values and vision as I do! Some of these people work with us today in our Millie’s House centres and we are all advocates for the children who are our Millie’s House family.

I am fortunate and excited to be part of the leadership team working again alongside Robert and Su. As a trio, we share a commitment to and take pride in Millie’s House environments and teaching teams where children are valued and respected as unique individuals. Our vision is to provide a family- like environment in which children will grow, develop and become confident life-long learners, with teachers who support and nurture this.
